St John Vianney

The Curé of Ars — confessor of millions.
Patron of Parish priests · 1786–1859

Life

A simple French parish priest assigned to the obscure village of Ars, his holiness drew penitents from across France until he was hearing confessions sixteen hours a day. He survived on potatoes and prayer.

Prayer

St John, pray for every priest — that they may be set on fire with love for souls.
