Life
A carpenter from Nazareth chosen by God to be foster father to His Son. The Gospels record not a single word of Joseph's — only his obedience: taking Mary into his home, fleeing to Egypt, returning, raising the boy. He is the patron of fathers, workers, and a holy death because he died with Jesus and Mary at his side.
Prayer
St Joseph, terror of demons, pray that we may work as you worked, love as you loved, and die as you died — surrendered to God.
