St Therese of Lisieux

The Little Flower — sanctity in small things.
Patron of Missions, florists · 1873–1897

Life

A French Carmelite nun who entered religious life at fifteen and died of tuberculosis at twenty-four. Her "little way" — pouring divine love into the smallest acts of daily life — has formed more saints than most great ascetic methods.

Prayer

Little Therese, teach us to love God in the dishes and the laundry and the patient waiting.
